Default Mac Minarelli timing

I have a Mac Minarelli 85 cc twin that has been taken apart. I have gotten it back together but can't figure out the timing. It has a magneto ignition that is mounted in the motor mount at the back of the engine. There is a ring with two pickups on it that is clamped with screws into the motor mount. It is just clamped and can be rotated to any position. The magnet is round and is a press fit onto the crankshaft. It can be rotated around the shaft. There are no markings on the magnet, pickups or shaft to indicate where either of these are to be mounted in relationship to each other.

Anyone out there familiar with the timing on this beast? I have an idea how it goes, but because it sits inside the motor mount every time I want to change it I have to remove the engine. I'm hoping someone is familiar with these engines and can give me a hand. If it helps I may be able to take pictures of these and post them.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Randy

RCIGN1:

No charge is an offer I cannot pass up. It will be on its way this weekend. Thank you very much for your assistance. I will include funds for the return trip.

Again, thank you.

Randy
