Default GMS61

Hey there peeps

Just thought I would give my few cents worth on this motor--- I have been an avid follower of OS since I have been flying and have spent many a money on buying them as they are the most expensive here.

I bought an 46 AX the other day and within ten flights the bearing gave in--- this was due to my landing in the sand a few times and being too lazy to clean out the cowl of my 46 size Giles G202. I decided to go the GMS route as it is the cheapest motors around and sometimes money talks-----

I ran the 61 in for two tanks at a very rich setting that it sogged my whole lawn full of oil and hence my grass has left me. I flew it twice or so and found it to flood on idle, but top end it was okish-----

I decided to read the manual on the motor ( duh ) and found out that I can set the bottom end--- well a few wines later and some fine tuning the motor is now soo balistic I am flying the covering off of the plane--- amongst a few other things--- Due to the sand around here I had a bad call yesterday.. I was flying the whole day and on my last flight I took off and my throttle was stuck on full bore--- could not get it down or nothing--- I had to fly loops for a few minutes and was totally bushed after the dead stick landing--- on getting home I found that sand had come between the barrel and housing of the carb and seized the whole thing up---- Just took it apart and cleaned it up with a drilling machine and fine sand paper--- running like mad now and is the best motor I have run for a very long time being though OS, ASP, Webra and Magnum----- I have a 76 too, but still need to get it running--- too scared to fly my 62" giles----- looks too good to fly---

Anyways if you have queries about the motors just ask, I am now an sub agent for GMS in my region---

Cheers
