Gas engine questions (need some Help)
#1
I recently purchased the engine pictured below, and I know very little about it. I was told by the person that sold it to me that it was a Fox 2.4. After I bought it, I went to Fox's web site and discovered the my engine doesn't look anything like the fox engines on their web site, so I'm assuming its quite old and maybe not even a 2.4. I've been told that it isn't even a Fox engine, but it does have Fox Motori stamped on the fly wheel, so I don't know what I got myself into here.
It has a plastic radial type engine mount, but I wonder if maybe part of the mount is missing?
If this is the entire mount, does anyone know if any other type of mount is available for this engine?
The prop shaft is only about 3/4 inch long. Is there parts missing from the prop shaft? If not how are you suppose to mount a prop on this thing?
Can anyone tell me the brand and size of engine this is?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Looks like you have an Italian made 25cc Fox Motori "Scale Model" engine. You can verify that by seeing if the Walbro carb is model WA-212. If that's not it, its probably a converted Italian Fox Motori engine (made in Poviglio, Italy), and you can look up the specific engine from the number on the Walbro carb. Get the number, and go to this site for id.
