Does anyone have any experience with a 95cc Brison 5.8? Does it shake too much for a 35% Extra 300 (Radio Craft)? Also, where can you get mufflers for them.
Thanks for any information!

I had a H9 33% extra (older version) with the 5.8, it weighed about 26lbs, and the 5.8 pulled it with authority. It vibrates a bit, but so do any of the other big singles. Its a good motor and makes good power. I ran a menz 26x10 and a mejzlik 26x10 on mine. You should be fine, just try to keep the plane as light as possible. The motor has a tad bit more power than a zdz 80 (couple hundred rpm). I think J&A makes a pitts muffler for it.

I run one on a Bearcat and one on a 33% Studacher. I love the engine. Fair amount of vibration. Make sure props ballanced well, and make sure everything fastened well. I wire my mufflers:

Thanks for the info guys. I was afraid that it was a shaker. I guess for the weight, power, and less vibration, I'll bite the bullet and go with the new BME Extreme 110. Sure appreciate the info ya'll provided on the 95.

I have one in a GSP.com Edge 540 (103" span) and it runs and flies the plane very well. With the timing set properly it does not shake as bad as most people like to think. Easy to start, runs great and is priced right compared to the twins. Mine spins a 3W 26X10 @ 6500.
