Default BME 100 or BME 102

What is the difference between a BME 100 and a 102? What is the better of the two, if differerent. I am looking for an engine for a glider tow plane.

The 100 is the older design, then came the 102, and then a 105 then 110 which is the most current motor. I think any should be fine for your application.

There are others that no more but basically the difference between the 100 and 102 is a different crankcase/shaft and longer stroke. The 105 is of the same family of cylinders. The 110 is completely different.

Guys ,
I've got a line on a Composite ARF Extra with a "new" BME100. I've heard that the BME100 vibrates badly and is down on power compared to newer 100-110cc engines. If the engine will be useful, it's a good package deal at $2000. What do you think?
