Okay I'm getting frustrated, please help.
I can't seem to find any one that can tell me where to find the necessary header components to DIY a custom header for a inverted mounted zdz80 mated to a H9 Sukhoi. I want the canister to be mounted 50/50 beneath the sukhoi. Far enough underneath just to clear the aluminum landing gear.
Any direction would be appreciated before I dump the whole project in the can.
Thx,
Mike

OK here are some pics of my stuf from KS tubing -
I tilt the engine for a simple system setup and it doesn't make the plane fly lopsided .
The only problem with the KS-is many "model builders" can't/won't learn to silver braze.
It does take practice and if possible help first time from some one who understands it.
I build the system right in place -on the model .
And I don't burn the model or the engine .
How? SS is very poor at heat transfer - I can hold -bare handed - a 6" piece of tube while I tack the other end.

a steel paint can - really-also on the 2nd pic- with baffles
the 50 on the small paint can actually was a tuned setup -surprised me !
I set the engine rich on a flight -and the darn thing unloded in the air -hard -
not a good tuned setup but nevertheless ---

I did that same exhaust with inverted ZDZ-80 on the Sukhoi last year, complete build with pictures, instructions and parts. Click on this link to my web site. www.tangoncash.com go to Tuned muffler build page.If you have any questions e-mail me and I will answer as soon as possible.
Thanks

I saw your KS can setup on your EDGE - looks very good .
We opted for a BIG JMB on a very short header
only real noise is prop noise. will change prop load a wee bit .-this one unloads as it climbs .
I used a DA150 header , modified slightly.
The EDGE really works well

Hey Dick, With the JMB's is it pretty much rule of thumb to keep the header length short on this set-up? I have a set for a 3W 106, Can the header be too short? Thanks Walt
