Default DA 100 choke

Does anyone operate the choke by reaching in through the bottom of the cowl and manually moving the small lever? I am getting ready to run mine and it really isn't difficult to reach in there and move it. I have a kill switch operated through my receiver so killing the engine remotely won't be a problem. With the choke spring loaded it doesn't seem possible that the choke could vibrate closed. I just don't want to add any unnecessary weight. I think guys at my field do it this way, anyone else?

I operate the choke manually on both my DA100 and 3W 100. To make it even easier, I attach a 4-40 short rod to a plastic clevis on one end and a 90 degree bend on the other. It hangs down about 1.5 inches and is really easy to grab. Up is open and down is closed - simple. Neither the DA or 3W has closed while running.
