RE: Roto 25 oil mix
What's a "Roto 25"?
If it's a weedeater-type engine, I like Amsoil at the recommended 100:1 or a richer 75:1. That's 1.28 and 1.7 oz., respectively. Regular gasoline is fine for these engines. Be sure to filter it well. I use a filter in the supply tank filling line, a klunk filter in the gas tank in the plane, and a filter inline between the gas tank and the carb.

RE: Roto 25 oil mix
Hello Fredde,
The U.S. distributor RCShowcase recommends 32:1 (about 3%). They say you can go to 40:1 (2.5%) after a few gallons of fuel. They also recommend using a high quality 2-stroke motorcycle racing oil for air cooled engines, such as Mobil MX2T. They say regular gasoline is fine. In the U.S. this is about 87 octane, although I have read that the octane ratings may be different in Europe or Scandanavia. I run the Mobile MX2T at 32:1 and regular gasoline (87 octane) on my Roto 25.

RE: Roto 25 oil mix
I use 98 octane and 100% synthetic oil of 25:1(4%) now.
I forget the brand of oil, but high grade oil for 2 stroke motorcycle.
The manual recommend 50:1, but I use this mix for a while during
break in period. The engine has been runnig well as for now.

RE: Roto 25 oil mix
I have read in the Heli forums that one of the reputable gas engine modifiers recommends using coleman camp fuel for gassers, he claims it stinks less and is much cleaner than pump gasoline and therefore runs better. I would think it if it is good for the helis which are harder on motors then it would be great in airplane gassers???

RE: Roto 25 oil mix
I am running 95 octane petrol with the manufactureres recomended 50:1 oil Mix.
Though for initial running in i followed the local importers reccomendation of 40:1 for the first couple of tanks (I actually ran it for the first 3 Liters) then move up to 50:1. Been using Belray H1R fully syntrhetic Oil.
