Default 3w 60 issues

I just bought a used 3w 60. The engine has about 2 gallons though it, but it has sat for the past year....Anyways i hooked it up on my testing stand and proceded to flip it for about an hour without much progress. I could get it to start for only a couple of seconds at a time. This being my first gas engine im not real familier with it so any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks
ryan

Take the carb to your local chainsaw shop or rental yard, get a diaphragm kit..About $5.00..The diaphragms get stiff and won't pump fuel....

Check and see if it is drawing fuel. If it is it could also be the infamous bad 3-W spark plug boot. My 70 acted just like that. Pop but no go. Sent it back to Gerhard and he fixed me up no charge.
