My G38 is an older one. The carb does not have a choke. I have read that Ralph likes this older carb better than the new one with a choke and his word is good for me. Does anyone know who sells a choke conversion for this older carb? The carb is a WTA-6A.
Thanks

Did you try B&B at http://www.bennettbuilt.com/page2.htm . They have a ZENOAH CHOKE & THROTTLE LINKAGE KIT for the new G38 carb. But maybe if you ask nicely they may have a choke butterfly laying arround that may fit your carb. They are very good to deal with. Give tham a shot at helping you. Their phone number is 574-277-0499. Good luck.

I've got a TATONE choke on one of my older G-38s. Mounts using the stock screws. I don't remember where I got it. I think it came on a trade engine. Check their web site.

I am thinking an ear plug like they sell at NASCAR since I am not using a stack
I have a Tatone or Dubro for my Quadra 35. I will check out their websites to see if I can still get one.
Thanks

For years I have used a cork with my G38. I made a small groove down the side. I drilled a hole in the big end, glued in a 1/4" dowel and put a "Remove before Flight" banner on the other end so I don't lose it. Works like a charm.

The days I still used quadra, I had made a springy push wire that bore down on the regulating diaphragm, thus keeping the gas supply needle open and allow the pump section to inject fuel into the engine. It worked like a choke valve, without the need of restricted air flow.
Just Rocking the prop would inject fuel.
