Default G-38pu

hi all, been flying r/c since 1979. now have my first gas engine. a zenoah g-38pu. brand new, no fuel, and the best part, it was free as long as i took the plane with it....also free. i read on this list about soldering a small tube to the diaphram plate over the small hole and running a tube to the interior of the plane to help with a steady pressure for the diaphram. and place a venturi on the mouth of the carb, facing forward for proper air flow over the mouth of the carb........is this what i should do?? and any other hints anyone might be willing to share will be much appriciated. thank you, bill woodward, ama136062
