It looks as though 3W has turned up the heat in the 50cc class of engines. There is a pic and specs of this new engine on the AI website. This one looks like a mini version of the side carb 75ius.

Okay, who is going to be the first to buy one and put it through the wringer?

Your right, there are lots of engines in the 50cc class. This is the only one I know of that has reed induction and a side carb. This is going to make it real easy to install and hookup.

Is there a price difference between AI and Cactus Aviation for 3W engines?. From the prices on their websites it seems there is. Can someone point out why this difference exists?.

FYI, the 4.3lbs includes the ignition, what does a DA 50 and ignition weigh?

Da/ZDZ same --almost one lb less.
The 3W 50 is a nice running,smooth n strong engine tho -at least the rear induction was -just heavier than most .

per DA's website its 3.13 with standoffs, but DA does not include the prop washer or bolts in their weight, what do you figure those weigh, and what does a DA ignition weigh for the 50?
