Default King 95 experience

Hi everybody,

I was wondering if anybody could tell me something about the King 95 RV engine. I have zero experience with King engines, but would like to know if it is reliable and powerfull like (for example) Zenoah and what prop size it can swing with KS tuned pipe.

http://www.kingflugmotoren.de/95s95rv.htm

Thanks.

Hi...

I have a friend running that engine on a 244cm (96in) FW190. It´s one of the best running engines I have ever seen. Starts extremely easy and can run at a very low idle. He normally uses a MenzS 26x12 prop. Not sure how fast it spins, but it´s more than plenty for his 31lb FW.
The muffler is homemade.

Hey Its my plane.

VERY good engine, no doubt at all it would be my pick ANYTIME.

i think its runs about 5500 or close to that with the 26x12 prop.

I also have DA engines, Zg and 3W, but the King the their name worthy, its the best, and very lov vibration also.

Heres a picture of the animal.

make sure 2 check out my videos of the FW 190, and hear the sound

Cool video, very nice sound. Ik have purchased my King 95 second hand, together with 2 62's.

I'm looking for a Extra or Sukhoi for this engine, from 100 inch span and above.

Greetz.

Have heard of the King engine design in the past, never seen a picture of one. Looked at the website and the 200 was of interest to me. Looks a lot like Sachs 5.8 heads and that would be logical with Sachs being a German company. Am sure the quality would be superb on such a marvel.

Have seen the La ferte 2001 dvd where one guy had a large black Pitts Challenger with a King 200 on it. Looked fantastic with plenty of power. Believe you will just have to jump in and get one, also the 200 Quadra is a well proven engine in the same size.
