Default Ignition Batteries

Greetings,
If the engine manufacturer doesnt specify, do you use a 4.8v or 6.0v battery on your ignition? I have a BME 50, and a FPE 2.4 but dont recall seeing anything on the battery for the ignition.
Thanks..........

Default RE: Ignition Batteries

I believe both of the maufacturers mentioned use a CH ignition. 4.8 volts is good for either one of them. More voltage does not provide more spark.
