Default Identification

A friend of mine recently purchased a US Engine used from someone's estate and now we're trying to identify it.

It has the following markings and features:

The serial # is 407668
- On the bottom of the block there is a stamp with the number 87 in a circle
- then a number 2 beside that
- The flyweel has a few markings. 0971,repco,2,2 772

Once identified can we order a manual for this engine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks and Happy Landings

Scott,

On all of the US Engines products, there is a small sticker on the underside of the crankcase. Where it says "Model Number", the first two digits of the model number identify the displacement. It should be something like: "41xxxxx".

Hope this helps.
