Default Fuji 64

Trying to help a friend out with a Fuji 64A. I believe that is the correct number, anyway it is the mag engine.
The problem is vibration, had it in a plane and said it about shook it apart. Checked the crank for end play and for a bent crank. Everything looked Ok. Checked the flywheel for balance, it was Ok. Checked clearance between the mag. flywheel and coil that was Ok. The flywheel shows signs of hitting the coil. Everything looks good with static measurments. Engine was never in a crash and never had a prop strike.
Any ideas?
We were thinking that maybe the crank was flexing under a power pulse when running letting the flywheel hit the coil.
If this is the problem would the fix be to put an ingnition system on it getting rid of the flywheel

Check the run-out at the prop driver. A friend had one of these with a poorly machined flywheel.
Same symptoms as yours.
Good Luck

Thanks for the reply.
We ran a dial indicator on the prop adaptor and flywheel, all looks good.

I have the Fuji 32 with the same indication. There is evidence of the flywheel hitting the coil at 90 degrees on each side of the magnet.
The runout is good on mine also but the vibration is not bad.
Like you, I have checked everything and cannot determine what is causing the flywheel to graze the coil.
I am not greatly impressed with the overall quality of the Fuji 32.
