Default Engine rebuild question

HI,
I need to do overhaul to my zenoah 23cc, I ordered a new cylinder, piston, ringand what else needed.
My question is, when I istall the new cylinder over the piston with ring, I just need to compress the ring with the fingers so the cylinder will go over it ?

Thanks.

Yes the bottom of the cylinder has a slight taper to help the ring go into the cylinder. I'm not sure, some pistons have a pin in the ring grove so the ring will only go on one way, look for that. It may not have the pin, in that case no problem.
