Check this out. Two years ago I bought a ZDZ 160 (non-Champion) from someone on RCU NIB. This was an orginal ZDZ when they first came out. I put it in my J'Tec 330L and flew it for a season. Over the winter I sent it to RC Showcase to have the front bearing replaced because it was leaking pretty good. They get it, took it apart and found the cylinders were gone! Wrong oil (my bad) Had them rebuild it and they got it back to me just before Joe Nall last year( Using the correct oil now) . I flew it all last summer and this last fall I noticed the front bearing was leaking again so I sent it back.
Well I got home today and found a box on my counter. It was a brand new 160 Champion! They decided it wasn't worth trying to fix the older version. These guys ROCK!!!! Thanks Mike and RCShowcase.

It was both! ;-)
They require no less than 40:1 Synthetic oil and I was using Amzoil 100:1 because it worked so good on my Brison 3.2 and my 3W engines that I just didn't think it mattered. Well I know now. After I broke the rebuilt engine in on 32:1 Penzoil I went to Mobil 1 MX2T racing oil at 40:1. Just before I sent it back to them for the bearing it was turning a 32X10 Bolly Wood prop at 5800+ RPMs on JMB cans. I know when I switched to stock mufflers it was more. The prop would always go super-sonic in the air if I didn't keep the throttle down.
