Dear Sirs:
I am the service manager for Iron Bay Model Company, as well as a member of Team Futaba. Here at Iron Bay we have a reduction unit that we sell for our 1/5 scale P-51. This is a 2.5:1 reduction drive. We currently have the BT 50SA, and are having issues with the advanced timing module. The problem is that due to the excess weight out front, the timing module will not keep the motor running at lower RPM’s, and has absolutely no idle. Several of our customers are using the version without the ATM and they are working fine. I was curious. Is there a way to make the standard BT 50SA into the BT50 EI which seems to be running successfully without any problems. It starts very nicely and seems to run easily with our reduction drive setup. We currently have the BT 50SA and really do not want to end up wasting the motor.
Thanks in Advance,
Archie Stafford
