Default Engine suggestion

Building a 1/4 scale Balsa USA Cub, would like some suggestions on a suitable engine for the airplane without having to hack the cowl to pieces. The engine can be Gas or Glow, Thanks...........

A guy had one at the flying field thursday. It had a OS 120 Surpass with C-H ignition on glo type fuel. Was plenty of power. I could not fly my stick as slow as he could fly the Cub.

Enjoy,

Jim

RCIgnitons Electronic ignition Zenoah G26. He is a member of RCU and his ID is RCIGN1. Total AUW with his recommeded muffler and batt is just under 3 pound

... or stick with the mag ignition G26 with one less battery set to charge/worry about/replace. Great choice for that airplane.

Bedford,

Agreed, either type will work with the mag version being about $200 cheaper but almost 1 full pound heavier. So it would all depend on how tail heavy it comes out. You may be even more correct since this plane has a short nose and a long tail moment so he may very well need the extra weight
