OK Guys (and Gals),
I have a GP 29% Christen Eagle II. Currently, it has a Fuji 50SB with a standard muffler in it. BUT, with that HUGE engine in the front (about 5.5 lbs!) I had to add 8oz (!!!) of weight to the tailwheel bracket just to get the CG close to the middle of the band.
I need a new engine.
Looking for a light-but-powerful 50cc gasser to stick in there. Contenders so far:
Brison 3.2
ZDZ 50NG
DA-50
I'm going to look to buying a used one. I'd like something lighter than 5.5 lbs (!!!!) so I can take the tail weight out.
Suggestions???? Help!
Thanks!

Convert your Fuji to electronic ignition and put an aluminum muffler on it.
3 reasons:
1-It'll be cheaper than buying a new motor.
2-It'll be easier than mounting a new motor.
3-It'll be within a few ounces of all the other motors you mentioned.
OR:
Sell me the Fuji and go buy your DA or whatever. I'll send it to Ralph and get a sweat deal on a used engine with electronic ignition. I'll send ya pictures of it hovering my next 16 pound plane at 5000' elevation.

Wonder why he didn't rotate the carb...Looks like a strange angle to connect the throttle servo

Maybe he will in the end, I do not know if that is the prototype or the end product? Maybe I will have you make a carb block for me Ralph?
Here is another option also. G62 converted my RCIGN1, comes in at 4 lbs with ignition.

Well, guys....here's the deal.
Found out that a guy in my club has a Brison 3.2 that he's going to sell to me for $350. I just can't beat that. It's in excellent condition and runs great too. I saw it the other night.
So I guess I got my question answered.....thanks for all of the advice anyway.
Now I've got to find a buyer for the Fuji 50SB that is in my Christen Eagle now.....I guess I'll put it in the Marketplace and see what happens.
