I have a Losi LST2 and have become fed up with nitro issues. I run Primarily 1/6-1/5th scale FG gassers with Zenoah 23cc and 26cc but for this project I am looking for a similar motor but smaller. Any ideas?

How small? BME is selling a converted Super Tigre G90 that burns gas at 50:1. Is that small enough?
Any smaller than that and the batteries and ignition will weigh more than the engine. <G>

Wow! that supertiger 90 may be just what the doctor ordered. Any Ideas on how to use a standard nitro clutch with one of these motors? I was looking for a weedwacker type motor but this looks alot simpler and while the motor is much more expensive the minimal fabrication in regards to motor mounts and other issues that i am sure to have ofsets the price nicely.

chowderhead, you may want to look at FPE 1.3 gasser. I just bought one and I am impressed. Comes with muffler and electr. ignition. Look under "Chiefaircraft.com". Good price too.

I would think the first issue you would have to deal with is size, will even the smallest gasser fit in the area it needs to fit, then you will have motor mount and clutch issues, after that you will have weight issues, and finally will be the power and gearing problems. I would guess your present motor is capable of 18,000 rpm your gasser is going to be more like 9000 to 10000. I would bet the WOW factor would be way cool if you are looking for a 1 off set up. I would bet it would not be even close to competitive with a stock truck.
Good luck and let us know your thoughts when you get it done. Maybe a better way to go would be to look at putting a OS 50 size heli motor on it, it should be close to size and weight and RPM and might not give you all the headaches associated with your current motor. Just a thought
