what size gas engine do i need?

hi all ,
looking at a Great Planes Ultimate Biplane ARF 1.60,65" . what size and kind of gas engine do i need ? first gas plane. how much trouble are they?

Most are using something in the 45-60cc range depending upon how much vertical you want... R/C Report and Dick Petit just did a review of this plane with a DA-50... The short answer is it's a nice plane and the DA-50 is a good match.
Gas engines are a lot less trouble than glow engines in this size in my not so humble opinion.

A Brillelli 46cc would be a good fit for this plane. Here is the web site. www.brillelli.com Scott is one on the best guy's you will ever meet. He makes this 46cc with magneto or EI. Either model will do the job. He has a video off this engine flying a Christen Eagle that is about the same size as the Ultimate Bi-plane you are looking into.

I myself like the DA50r, but if you want to save some $$$$$ and it being that the UlTIMAT isn't a full blown 3d machine, the Brilleli would be the best bang for the buck,,,
