Default Zenoah G26 fuel line question....

I work at a LHS and have a question to expand my knowledge....

customer comes in and needs fuel line and fuel tank stopper to run a Zenoah G26... So I show him the Sullivan stopper and the tygon tubing that I use on my Da50 and several other people use on their gas engines up to 150cc.....

the customer tells me that the tubing is Waaaaaaay too small and will never deliver enough fuel... I explain that it works for the larger gas engines, but I have not flown a G26 so I am not entirely familiar with that set up.......

so I guess my question is.... Does the G26 need much larger fuel tubing (he was saying it needed to be twice as large) than the standard tygon (which I believe the size we have is the .165" ID size)??

Thanks for the education

No, a gas engine will only take so much gas to run.
Fuel / air ration is like 15:1. he only has a 26cc engine.
The DA is a 50cc engine.
Do the math, if it works for a DA, it is more than enough for a Zenoah 26.

The smallest tubing you can buy will run a G26....The small Hayes Products neoprene will run ANY gasser used in airplanes..
Not turbines

just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something... you know with the customer being right and all

I tried to explain that the line we have is used for engines up to 150cc,

his answer? "Ahhh, but they aren't producing upwards of 5 horse power like my G26..."
Ummmmm Kay.....

but since I don't own a G26... I just wanted to make sure that there wasn't something I was missing.......

No contest...the seamless black neoprene, sold as Hayes Products..I use it on my tank on the test stand, test Bobby's 3Ws up to 150cc...It's big enough for those...

The tubing also is large enough for a 50hp two stroke cycle, the old 500cc BMW twin motorcycles, Nortons, and Hondas.

I picked up a package by DuBro today. It also looks like good stuff.

It's gotta be better then that stiff Tygon.

I've been told that the DuBro stuff has a seam and could split...The Hayes is seamless...I'm sending an engine back
to Bobby on Monday, there will be a piece of tubing in the box for you... (If I remember)
