Default First run DA50

Did my maidenflight with my brandnew ultimate with a DA50 today. What an engine, started at the third flip and kept on running until I shut it down. Didn't have to readjust any of the needles, very smooth running from the first plop till the end.
Keep up the good work DA.

That is a VERY nice looking Ultimate. What brand is it?

Glad to hear the DA 50 is running well. I have a brand new one too and I just think it's a great engine.

Very interesting engine mount, sideways.
How much lead did you have to use in the opposite wing to get it to balance laterally????

I am watching you

Thanks Joe, it's a kit built Weiershauser ultimate (73 inch). www.emhw.de
Weight is about 7,5 kg. This kit is made especially for the DA50 with a MTW75 exhaust. Everything fitted wonderfully. Flies like a dream.

Larry, I didn't had to use any lead in the opposite wing to balance it. I planned the sideways engine mount from the start so I installed to most of my radio installation an batteries at the opposite side of the cilinderhead. Worked pretty well. On the photo it's hard to see.

Keep em flying,
Ronny
