I installed a ZDZ 40 on a Kanghe Rearwin Speedster last fall and after the second flite had an ignition module failure. I returned the old
Red-White-Blue module and received a newer Falkon Ignition module. The engine started and ran great----on the seventh flite I
started the engine and was warming it up--- it began to miss and died. I'm going thru all the usuall checks----gas quality---fouled plug--
too much oil am using an oil based (homelite) break-in type at 32:1. I've pulled the plug and grounded it on the muffler I'm getting a
weak static spark instead of the--Blue Fire-- that I was getting when the module was new.
I'm not totally sure of the module yet but thought I would ask the group If there had been similar problems---and any retrofits of
A better ignition system. If this has been addressed many times before then excuse me, I have just joined this group .
I would add also that this is not my first gas engine----although it has been more troublesome than any to date.
Thanks ------ Blue Duck

Also a good new heavy duty switch with heavy duty wiring wouldn't hurt and is relatively inexpensive. I worked in Elko on and off in the late 80's.[8D]
