Although I haven't run the BME 90, I have had U-CAN-DO 60s with 90-91 glow engines installed.
IMO a 90 gas engines will not do the job because of less power than glow and the added weight of the ignition system. The 90 glow engines I had installed on the UCDs were more than adequate and pulled the aircraft with authority. However, the best combination I had was an OS 120 FS. That engine/airplane combination allowed you to do anything you wanted with power to spare. I have been contemplating a U-CAN-DO 60 with an OS 108 as that combination should be very interesting.

I suggest you spend your money on a glow engine.

doubledee

Yes, the OS 50SX will pull the plane adequately. The YS 63 will pull the plane with authority. Likewise, the YS 91/110 will pull the UCD 60 straight up from a hover while weighing 5-6 oz less than other 120 four strokes.

put it on the .40 size. I'm putting a glow .90 on a sig fun fly now. The BME is next when the cash flow allows.

I have an U-Can-Do 60 with a Webra 120 speed and APC 17x6 prop. It is just enough power for 3D and in my opinion anything less will be marginal.
I also have a friend with an 40 size U-Can-Do and a Supertigre 90 and it is a very nice combo. I guess the BME 90 will be good in the 40 size but never in the 60 size.
