I have what a friend gave me and was told it to be a new bme 3.5
ok here is my question,I have been looking at all the weights of alot of engines and all I got was a headache, some weigh with ignition some without some with mufflers and so on and so on.The engine weighs 4lbs. bare no ignition no muffler no spark plug just engine and carb, is this heavy or is this light for this size engine.and would this work for 3d 30% extra.
thanks
Darin
ps are they any good?

That's an older BME that they don't make any more. The weight is pretty light for that size engine - lighter than a Zenoah G62. Keep the plane under 20 lbs and it should be fine. Obviously, the lighter you can get the plane, the better the 3D performance.
