I bought a CH ignition for my G38 with the auto advance and a kit with a pickup for a Ryobi...(not that the weedie needs the auto advance..). Converted the weedie first now have a question...
Would like to find out if the same plug that came with the Ryobi which has a short nose sticking in the cylinder or go to a longer reach plug....and does the gap stay the same or get gaped different for the hotter ignition...
Thanks,
BB1

Spark plug gap has little or no effect on the engine, whether mag or CD...I run anywhere from .025 to .045...The mag has a hotter spark once the engine is running...Be sure whatever plug you use has an "R" in the number...
NGK BPMR6, Champion RCJ7Y, RDJ7, Bosch WSR6F...Any 14 mm resistor plug will work..The engine doesn't care which plug where spark comes from, as long as it's timed correctly....
