Default Quadra 35 installation

Hey guys,

I am looking for some tips and pictures of mounting a Quadra 35. I am putting
it into a cap 232 if that matters. I have built several smaller planes but this is the 1 st
gas plane. Anyone know where I can see some pics !!

Thanks David

David,
Here is a picture of a typical 35/40/41/42 Quadra install on a Flybaby. This one uses a cup mount, which is available at B&B Specialities on the web. A bell crank is usually used to control the throttle. Remember no metal between the engine and the radio. Keep 12" distance and use plastic ny-rods etc. I know that someone is going to say that this is his plane. It isn't mine.

I have a Q42 on a SIG Cap 231 EX . No pix but pretty much the same as Dave's but with a 3/32 aluminum plate on the back that bolts to the firewall with appropriate spacers. Fuel tank can be put pretty well anywhere as the pump in the carb keeps the engine happy. On the CG is the best place as the amount of fuel they can carry can shift the CG quite a bit.

Hey Dave,

Hows the vibration on yours as I am
worried about that as well. Do those rubber
bushings help? Can you think of of other anti vibration
tips that you may know? Mine is a very light Cap 232.
But I am starting to think about beefing certain things
up a bit.

Thanks for the picture.
David
