New to gas ,where does the electronic ignition plug into as far as a reciever? I know you put a switch on it but dosnt that have to plug into your reciever or can you run another reciever seperate and not have interference problems?And I know you have to run a seperate battery too,but that cant just be pluged into the on and off swith and thats all, it needs to get a signal from somewhere right?

On engines with electronic ignition, one end gets plugged into the sensor on the engine. Then you have the battery -> switch -> ignition module. Keep at least 12 inches of distance between any part of the engine and the receiver
It does not get plugged into the receiver at all. The module controls ignition timing. The only part of the "engine package" that gets plugged into the receiver is the throttle servo.
What engine are we talking about. Some engines have a little LED light that gives you specific information

thanks guys thats what I thought but for some reason I was thinking the switch woulnt turn on the battery without some sort of signal from the receiver,but im all clear now must of been a brain fart. Thanks for the help all

Perhaps you are thinking of an electronic cut off switch. This is a Tx controlled
way to shut off the motor. Some guys use a servo to drive the choke closed and
provide the same function. You should have one or the other. In either case
you will have something plugged into the Rx. For the choke impemented
cut off it will be the servo used to drive the choke linkage. For the electronic
switch it will be the line from the sending unit of the electronic switch. I have
had good experience for some years with Electro Dynamic optical cut off
switches. If you need more info on cut off switches go to the Electro Dynamics
web site and they have diagrams showing how the stuff works.
