70 lb airplane pulling 4 sq ft of net sieving 1100 cubic meters of air per min for small migrating insects (1/16 inch in length)
Engine = 200 cc 3W with a 3 blade 29 x 10 biela turning at 6500 rpms
fuel consumption = 1.5 gallons per 25 min sampling flight at WOT
Oil mix = 24:1 pennzoil air cooled
Wing loading = 68 oz/sq ft
Net open = 55 mph airspeed
Net closed = 75 mph airspeed
So far, engine is holding up great through multiple sampling flights

Sounds cool! What are you trying to do by catching the bugs? Seems like your killing quite a few of the same bugs your trying to catch with the prop. I know when I land my 32x12 and the cowl has little blood spots all over the plane.
