Try this..choke on and just 2 or 3 flips and then choke off flip till it starts. I dont know why but thats what it took to get mine going. Never did that before it went in.

nope still won't start, tried choke on for 3 flips and stopped counting after 25 flips. even pulled the spark plug first to re-verify spark and that it was not flooded.
EDIT: I did finally get it to start, it seems to like to start at a higher throttle setting about 1/4 throttle or a little less, and easily restarted while still warm.

i do trim mine up a little when i flip it but its been consistant at starting cold Hot however I need to flip it more chole off i seem to get in trouble when i flip it with choke on. if this dont pop after the 3rd or 4th flip chole on i kill the choke kill the ignition and open the throttle wide open no choke and flip it 4 times then i turn tthe ignition on and reduce the throttle to just off idle and flip it it ussually fires right off after that. the other thing i noticed is after it pops and i open the choke and flip it it takes 2 or 3 theen it pops again and 2 more flips before it runs but like you said i think it needs a tad more throttle to start faster ill be trying that tomorrow

Tried to go fly today with pretty dismal results. Took forever to get it started and 30 seconds in to my only flight it dead sticked, then It was unfriendly about starting again, my local engine expert believe's that the pop off pressure is too high, after playing with it for way too long, we gave up and will tear it down later.

After sending my engine back and fourth to horizon for several months, I gave up on their service and sold the second replacement engine they sent me. and yes they replaced my engine twice.

what engine(s) do you have which you found to be easy to handle?
