Please,
Can anyone correctly identify this engine for me. I won it in an auction sometime ago.
I never got around to using it, as I fly gas twins cylinders mostly.
I was told it was Walker engine. I'm planning on selling it and I need as much information as I can get. It has a 2 inch piston cylinder bore.
Any help would be immensely appreciated.
Thanks In Advance,
Keith.

It can only be one of 2 engines, neither is a Walker.
Precision Eagles were red, Husky Challengers were not..
If there's a 49ZN number cast into the cylinder base it's a Precision Eagle Sachs 4.2
The Husky Challengers are 4.4s, might have been that color...
The ignition is a Pro Spark, very prone to failure if you turn it on and rotate the crank without the spark plug being grounded to the engine case...
My best guess is Husky Challenter 4.4
Same shop made both, used Sachs parts for the Precision Eagle and Husky parts for the Challenger...You will not fine a better made engine anywhere....
Just looked again, it IS a 4.4 Husky...

Ralph,
That case color, blue anodized, was one that Brison used for a long time. The back plate, phenolic block, and timing arrangement looks a lot like his too, but the cylinder isn't right for a Brison. All the older Brison engines had a tapped hole in the top of the head for a 10-32 screw.

Thanks RCIGN1 and Siversurfer,
This was a big help.
Any idea where I could find more information on the Husky engines.
I did a Google search and did not find much information on these engines.
Thanks Again

Brison never used Husky parts...
Never made a mount like that..
Never made a prop hub like that..
Never used Pro Spark ignition...
Never used a Tillotson carb..
The engine is/was made by Russ Stoltz at Challenge Tool, 847 640- 8085, maybe you could find some info that way

I have one of the Precision Eagle 4.2s here, exact same case, hub, and mount..Red instead of blue and a Sachs cylinder instead of a Husky....They run well but are HEAVY...All that solid aluminum in the case and hub..I guess it soaks up some of the vibes, it's pretty smooth..
