Default Kevlar pull-pull throttle question

I'm looking into running a kevlar pull-pull to the throttle of my da-100. Has anyone ran kevlar near a stock can muffler before, or knows someone that has?

You're delving too far into the dark side. It's a lot easier to do it the old fashioned way with a solid rod. The weight difference at that end is not worth the effort.

If you're wondering if it can take the heat, that won't be an issue. Kevlar has an extremely high melt point.

Why not leave the spring in play and pull it! Works quite well IMO and very consistent too...

Enough thread and you can stop small arms fire but you need an additional ballistic plate to stop an AK-47 round.

It's a requirement for an odd setup in a 33% aeroworks ultimate.
Icebird, thanks for the info.

Be very careful how you terminate the ends of the kevlar..simply tying a knot in the stuff weakens it severly..something like 60% of the shear strength is lost at this point
Why not just use steel wire?

I found out that kevlar can start to decompose @ 750 degrees F.
That shouldn't be a problem for me.

I'm terminating the thread connection with thin CA through hollow threaded 2-56 pieces and have an aluminum wheel attached to the throttle plate.
