I'd like to thank Bill and the staff of Hobby Services for the service provided on a recently purchased BT-43EI. In an earlier posting we noted an issue with the lack of clearance between the rotor and the electronic ignition hall sensor. The engine was returned to Hobby Services for warranty repair and to our delight a new replacement BT-43EI-2 arrived last week. We test ran the engine this last weekend and all is well, and there is pleanty of clearance between the rotor and hall sensor.
When shopping for this engine we compared many different available types through the use of a spread sheet. We listing parameters ranging from displacement, power, price, weight, replacement parts availabiltiy, warranty, etc. We concluded that the Fuji BT43EI would be the best value and choice for our application. This decision has been validated by the manufacturer standing behind their product.
Thanks again Bill.
