Hi
I was looking for a 40CC motor for my hanger 9 27%extra and came across this one with all the correct specs and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this engine.
Here is a link to a chinese distributor [link=http://www.himodel.com/en/rc_hobby/engines_2156.php]himodels[/link] for 270 US $.
The specs look good and it comes in at only 1400 grams including elec ign and muffler 3.5 HP . However i can not find anything on the forums about this one im gathering its reasonably new..
I also noted the Himodels have a full range of spares. The warrenty claims in the manual also points to Precision Airobatics here in Australia. I wonder if they know anything about this???
Anyway hope someone has heard of them!
Cheers
Kingsley

My Feedback: (10)
bird-0f-prey,
I have heard of these engines being sold but if it were me, I'd take a look at a [link=http://www.scottellingson.com/]Brillelli 40cc GT [/link] engine. They are basically the same SPE engine but when Scott at Brillelli gets them in he takes the engine apart, balances the crank for a smoother running engine, installs CH Elictronic Ignition, and all the other goodies such as a bigger carb, velocity stack, etc. The Brillelli 40cc GT price is $305.00. I think the extra $35.00 is well worth it just for the CH Electronic Ignition. I have had the Brillelli 25cc, 26cc, and the 40cc and they are very reliable engines and the support you get means a lot. This is just my 2 cents worth.
