Default 3W-75 Info Please Chime in!

Hey guys! I'm looking to pick up a 90" Lanier Edge 540. Possibly in the next week or so if all goes well. I have a few questions about the 3W-75 that it comes with. I have not owned a 3w before and was wondering if there are any problems or things I need to know about the 3W-75. I have a few ZDZ's and a few DA's and they are just sweeeeeeeeet. Will a 3w-75 beplenty powerful on a 90" Edge? I'm looking for hover capabilities and unlimited vert of course. Also worried about the reliability. I know the 3W-100 and 150's are awesome. Anyways, just looking for some info from a few of you here that may have owned this particular motor. Its not a rear exaust. Its a side exaust, with a pitts style muffler. Thanks in advance guys! I have a 3W-75i that gave me some problems. After approximately 15 gallons of fuel, it got very hard to start. Finally figured out it was not drawing fuel. Sent it into cactus, they shaved the reeds and sealed the isolation block ($65). The invoice said it was check for drawing fuel, but was not test run. I still have not run it. Also saw another post on RCU that had a fuel draw problem. He found a cracked isolation block. My engine was a rear intake version and there was a problem with it spitting fuel back into the fuse. A flyer in Germany said he had the same problem and recommended an trumpet with the foam cleaner--solved the problem.

I had a 3W-75i on a Lanier Edge that I sold last year. Mine ran almost flawless. 26x10 prop. I liked the combo.

I AM THE OTHER PERSON that had a crack in my carb block- i just got an email back from bobby (cactus) he said he fixed it but went on vacation or something and now i won't have my engine back till the end of next week but he said its fixed..... one thing i would say is if its running well just don't touch it... don't keep tightening the bolts on the carb block.... I'm guessing he'll charge me 65$ too, and thats ok as long as i don't have to send it in every year... i bought this engine 8 gallons used and have put 4 gallons on it so we will see, we will see. and BULLARDRM run yours or give it to me!

on the positive side lots of power on my 21 lb 91" cap. you're good to go
