i recently purchased a bt-43ei and installed it on my airplane.
when i got it running, noticed the airplane shaking violently.
got to looking and found the rotor?,the part that spins in front of the hall effect sensor, was wobbling causing the prop hub and prop to wobble when the engine rotated.
was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and how the warranty would be done to replace this part(I would rather not send engine back since it has had fuel in it)?
thanks,
Kevin

Since no one from Hobby Services most likely will answer your question until Monday I wonder if you have already removed the prop adapter to make sure it is seated properly on the rotor it is mounted to, and make sure there is no dirt or anything under there... Hopefully the engine was not in a crash and the crank or hub is bent...Hobby Services is very good on warranty problems so I would not hesitate to give them a call... They were very helpful with a problem I had with my 43EI... Good Luck! Larry

never flew plane, was idleing the engine to break in a little and noticed the airplane shaking badly, that's when I saw the wobble,I have checked the prop adapter,it looks fine, the wobble is coming from the rotor, the piece that is bolted to the crankshaft.
