older 1/4 hanger9 cap Help
I just bought an older hanger9 1/4 scale cap. The bird is in super shape. It is the one with the blue, green and white covering. I can not find a manual anywhere. I knew that the bird was no longer sold. Help! I just need the CG and throws. Thanks for any help you may be able to give?

RE: older 1/4 hanger9 cap Help
Freebird,
The Cap is sorta heavy but flies well. It's gone through some ruff times. I have a Saito 1.80 with a APC 17x6 prop and it seems to best the best combo for the 1.80. The 16x8 is good also.... Good luck and glad I could be of help..... Let us know what engine you have and how it works out for you on the maiden.... Bill

RE: older 1/4 hanger9 cap Help
i have thought about a gasser for sometime just haven't had time yet to try. if i did it would be a MVVS 26 or a brillelli 26. the brillelli is around 2.5 pounds rtf. the saito 180 is right at 2 pounds rtf not counting the fact you need more fuel. might be worth a try just to see if you can do it without much fuss. of course there will be those who will tell you not to try it but just for tinkerer fun sake i would do it.

RE: older 1/4 hanger9 cap Help
Hi all! weather has been bad here. I have a saito 180 with 17x8 APC. I did get a chance to set throws and replace the little 2 3/4 tires with some dubro lite 3 1/2. How does she fly. I can tell alot from high alpha, but any help is very greatful. Landing are always better with a heads up. How about GC. Are the book specs pretty close. How about the low rates are they enought and how is slow flight. I have not weighed her yet, but I would guess around 11Lbs. Wing area seems good at that, but not sure of weight. I think the bird would be perfect for a 40ccc spe. I have a smaller edge from peak and I think the 40 and cap would be a perfect combo. I have a new 40 I am install on a KMP 85" edge, but may later install a larger engine in it and put it in the cap if the 180 does no make the final test. I am hoping to fly the cap very soon. Thanks a ton gang, you all have been very helpful.

RE: older 1/4 hanger9 cap Help
I just read my post and it made on sense regarding the edge and an engine. What I ment to say was I have a slightly smaller and liter edge from peck with a 26cc gas on it. It is smooth, but it is about the Min on power as far as 3d and great pull out power from a hover. The 26 would fly the cap with no problem, but I love lots of pulling power, so IMO at 51 oz which includes muffler el unit and bat the 40cc spe would make a great combo. Now I can not wait to fly her, winter[:@][:'(][]
