I noticed a while back that someone had built a working scale 985, and there is a picture of it on the forum here as well.
Does anyone know who builds this? and is it available?
it is an unbelievable work of art!
Cheers

Try web site www.engine-museum.com
The chap who runs the museum makes the 985 and is trying to set things up for a run of 100. AIN'T gonna be cheap.

Thanks for the information, I will try to contact them directly.
is this the same scale 985 I saw in RCM magazine some time ago?, it looked an absolute work of art.
you mentioned it has not run? I remember the ad said "working" maybe it was a little premature?
what kind of power would it potentially produce?
A run of 100!!?? is there THAT much interest in what will probably be a multi 1000 $ engine? still.....
would`nt that look fantastic on nthe front of a Beaver! ( I would be terrified to actually fly it though
)
Cheers

The engine owner, Paul, works at an ultra precsion machne shop. When he gets bored he makes a new engine. All of them are "works of art".
He has done a 1/4 scale WWI Bently R-2 rotary, 1/4 Cadillac 1936 Flathead V-8, 1/4 scale Chevy 350 LT-1. He keeps thinking about a RR Merlin V-12.
Way to much spare time
