Who makes G-62 wrap-around muffler
Anyone know who makes/sells wraparound mufflers for a Zenoah G62?
I'm looking for another one similar to the one shown in the attached picture.
I thought there was a couple of individuals making these, but I searched and came up empty.
Thanks,
Greg

Slimline and J&A both make one.

Chiief Aircraft Inc. has the cheapest Slimline wrap around muffler I could find. The one pictured is for smoke at $89.95 but without smoke is $69.95. http://www.chiefaircraft.com/rcmsec/.../Slimline.html

Wrap around mufflers do just that they muffle the engine, sap power and are noisy, if you can go with a proper manifold and a cannister silencer, quiter and increase in power over a wrap around. I have two MVVS engines on the 45 I increased the revs by 1100rpm just by putting a manifold and cannister on it and it was a much better sound.

BaldEagel--good info, but your "cannister" looks a bit like a tuned pipe. Did you get it from MVVS or somewhere else? And have you any info on such a set-up for the G62? Thanks in advance.

One thing about cannister type mufflers. If you don't need the rpm hop up and don't have noise issues, why spend an extra $100.00 to $200.00 or more over a wrap around muffler? Lest we forget the installation differences and difficulties.
Cannister mufflers have their place, but not always. One needs to take everything into consideration before making a purchase decision.

RE: Who makes G-62 wrap-around muffler
The slimline wrap around muffler is plenty quiet for my application. It meets our clubs noise requirements (86db @ 25'), where a stock muffler on a G62 will not meet the noise requirements. The engine/muffler will be used on a 1/3 scale cub, and I don't need every last once of performance from the engine, so if I loose a few hunderd RPM, that's OK.
Thanks for all the comments and suggestions,

Why does both Bisson and Slimline use 1/2" stacks for the G62 but they use 3/4" stacks on the DA50 mufflers? It's got be restrictive.[]

Brillelli made my G62 wrap around muffler early last year. I was charged a whole $70 plus shipping. The workmanship is excellent and the muffler is sturdy.
