Can someone who owns a Fuji 24cc airplane engine give me some information on prop size and type, muffler used and rpm achieved ?
I am trying to determine the thrust available from these engines.

I am using a XOAR 18 x 6 prop on my 24EI and can turn about 10,450 rpm. Nut if I'm not mistaken the 24a with standard ignition won't turn much over 9500 rpm though. Hope this helps

You're right, I looked up my specs in my little notebook wrong. I'm new to gas engines so I bought 3 used engines to learn on. I have been trying props and trying to tune the engines and have been keeping notes. I accidentally gave the benchmark for the wrong engine. The corrected rpm for the 24EI is 7850 with the 18 x 6. Sorry if this caused you any confusion bobreib. Didn't mean to sound like a idiot

Thanks for information extra260bum .. 10,000 did sound too good to be true .. even on a pipe ..
I will assume that the 7850 was on the muffler that came with the engine ??
That works out to about 13 pounds of thrust at my altitude ( 650 feet ASL ) .. not bad for a can muffler ..
I'm still looking for a small gas engine for a Funtana 100X ..
So far the MVVS 26 cc with a pipe seems to be the only one that will provide 15 or so pounds of thrust ..
( I was trying to find a way around the tuned pipe but there really doesn't appear to be one other than going to a larger engine .. and even more weight .. )

10.000 is not too good to be true,,
G26, Mejzlik 18-6, Abell muffler, 8800-9000, 17 lbs measured thrust..Verified by several owners...Piped, 10,000 rpm, didn't measure, The very accurate Grish Brothers chart says 22 lbs....
Dick Hanson gets the same performance with his Roto 25, all you gotta do is read some of the posts in this forum...
The chart shows 13 lbs at 8000, very close to your assumption...
the G26 turns 8200 with the stock muffler, which would be 13+...
