'Uncle Willies' 1/4 scale Fokker D7 - anyone built it?
Hi all,
I did a search and could not find a thread on the subject, so thought I'd start the ball rolling.
Soon I will be the proud Dad of a Briggs & Stratton 34cc 4-cycle engine. Having considered which
plane suits this engine, I have decided that the Fokker D V.ii should fit the bill.
In the Briggs & Stratton 34cc thread, a 1/4 scale D.Vii has already been done. It looks and
sounds supurb.
Balsa USA have a kit, but are difficult to obtain (and afford) with the Aussie dollar.
I did a Google on laser cut kits and plans - I found the following.
First link is 'My Uncle Willies' website. The Fokker D V.ii is most of the part down the page
http://www.myunclewillies.com/about3.html2.html
Next link is to 'kit cutters' page they can laser cut this exact model from the 'Uncle Willies' plans
http://www.kitcutters.com/Wil/WilFokD7.htm
If anyone has any feedback of any sort, It would be great to share the knowledge.
Regards.
Ian H

Checkout the "Engine Conversions" forum. I think you will find a bit more info there. That's where most of the guys doing weedie conversions hang out.

You can also purchase the Balsa USA kit plans directly from the company for $27 + P&P. I buught a set alongside the kit and they are well worth the money.
