Is there a limit on the max engine size one can use to be legal for AMA or at flying sites? I know DA used to make a 200cc motor, but don't see it listed anymore. Just odd I dont see real big engines anymore it seems. Was thinking maybe insurance or flying sites had something to do with it?

no limit on engine...
but AMA has a 55lb AUW limit... any more than that and you need a special waiver....
I don't think the DA-200 was ever released for mainstream sales... I think it was more of a prototype sort of thing...I think
3W makes several very large engines... but the market is soooo small....

We sell radials engines up to 400cc and opposed four cylinders to 420cc.....Our biggest seller for maximum weights up to 55lb is the ZDZ 210. Very strong performer. See the banner heading the gas engine forum.
