Default Fuji 64 EI ????

Some Advice Would Be Appreciated............

I just ordered a Wild Hare 28% Extra and I have a Fuji 64 EI engine that I was planning to use on the plane. I have been told by a few people that the Fuji 64 EI would be a bad choice for this plane because of the extra weight and reliability compared to a DA 50. Has anyone here had any experience with the Fuji 64 EI? I would like to hear the good, bad, and ugly.

Tes,
The Fuji weighs only one pound more then the DA50 without muffler and EI. It costs $100 less then the DA, but resell value is much lower. It should fly fine. You may have to shift the tank and radio equipment further aft to balance. Instead of about 15lbs, it will weigh 16 or 17lbs. Just 6 or 7 percent heavier. Good luck

Dave

Thanks Dave. I do not care about the resell value at this point. I have only been flying a bit over a year and just starting to get into the bigger planes on a budget. Thanks to this website and its patrons I have been able to keep upgrading my equipment at a good savings with a lot of my stuff being new. One item being the Fuji 64 I was asking about. The problem is, there are no Fuji Engines in my flying club other than a Fuji 43 I have on a GP Yak 54 and it is great.

Again, thanks for the advise and the links.

Tommy
