I have a GX 45 that is the biggest PIA to start I've owned. I have to take the plug out and prime it two to three times before it will bark. Tried every thing Horizon tech told me to try (which wasn't much), soldered the hole in the choke butterfly shut, you name it. Fuel does not move through the fuel line till you get it spinning it fast either by getting it to start via priming, or by the use of my 16.8 volt Craftsman drill with a starter drive on it.
And once it's running, it runs and idles nice but throttle response is sluggish. 22X8 Zoar turns @ 5600 and no matter how I tweak it, that's been the best I can do. Horizon replaced it once cause even they could not get it to draw fuel. The new one is the same, so they sent me a new carb, no change. WHAT, HOW, WHY?????????
I see others are running this motor wit no trouble, is it me??
Help!!!!!!!!!
