I have heard really good things about this engine. Runs gas or glow. Here's the specs from thier website. Let's hear the verdict.
Predator 1.8
TOTAL WEIGHT 2 lbs. 15 oz.
FUEL CONSUMPTION 1 oz / min. at 85% power
ROTATION Bi-Directional with no modifications required

No obsolete mechanical advance.
Piston Porting, Walbro Carburetor, Engine burns regular Gas, Glow Fuel, White Gas, or Aviation Gas.
Will compete to many 2.4 engines, power, top fuel economy.
Recommended Propeller-
Zinger Pro Prop- 18-8 - 7800 RPM - THRUST 19 LBS.
20-6 - 7000 RPM - THRUST 21 LBS.

My Feedback: (4)
It takes a $45.00 Walbro carb and adapter and a $14.00 spark plug with a $90.00 ignition system....Don't know about the weight, but I suspect the ST would be lighter.....
The cylinder head could be re tapped to use the $3.00 CM6 spark plug...
Fuel----Gas and 10% oil for the bushing connecting rod--works fine..
The Walbro gives perfect idle and transition, and because of the pump there is no problem with tank height or location....

Seems like a lot o guys just like to do conversions - for the hell of it.
Powerwise - they are not the best show in town tho-
But probably "good enough for sport n' fun.
My best conversion was the St2300 on ignition and low nitro alky and a tuned exhaust - 18x8 APC- 9300 - real reading.
Fuel economy? - less than a 460 Ford--
