Yea, those web sites show 3 and 4 blade props. That Flytech prop looks very good, unfortunatly I don't speak or read german .

Default Byron Reduction Drive

I was just over on the Warbird site and a guy nemed Roberto Bracchi from Italy just responded to the forum over there that dealt with the original design Byron prop blades and he says he can make a composite blade for this system if there is enough interest. Anyone care to join me in talking with Roberto?

Warbird site as in the Warbird forum here, or Warbirds.com?

I have a constant speed prop on a Q 52 that I've been experimenting with. Uses flyweights like a governor. Return springs govern maxumum RPM. Ready to put in a Byron Christan Eagle.

Forgot to mention, was starting and stopping it so much wearing out my arm and hammering my fingers,I made a starter for the back of the motor that takes the place of the spring rewind starter. bevel brass gear pressed onto the hub with the sprague clutch. A smaller brass gear mounted on the side of the rear housing, 4 to 1 ratio, spring loaded to push the gears out of mesh. Lawn mower 12V starter with Allen wrench with handle cut off and attached to starter ,ala, helicopter starter. Push the gears into mesh with the starter and hit the starter. Makes life easier!! I'm sure it would work with conventional starter with the 4 to 1 ratio. Dont have to go near the prop.

Roberto, I will take a set. For those interested in new blades for your drive, post a reply as he says he will start making them next week. 185 in euros (not sure how much that is but who cares). Any body needing a new set of Byron blades I have a spare set.

Is a set 3 blades or 4?

Set of blades for P-51. I guess that means four. Never installed.
