I was able to order a motor over the phone last week but since then I've wanted to add some items to my order, however, no response to emails or phone messages. Anyone know where Adam disappeared to?

I'm experiencing the same. Saw my $$$ disappear from PayPal but can't get a response to determine when I can expect engine. Multiple e-mails inquiring about additonal parts have gone unanswered.
Maybe he is out flying.......a lot!

Got no answer from Adam for 4 weeks now. Very disappointing. Looks as he's out of business but with many customers expecting answers from him.
I expected at least an auto responder or something bu there's nothing. As a consequence of this, I ordered a 46GT from Brillelli.

Hmm, that is rather interesting. You would think that if he was going out of town or something that there would be some sort of posting on the website. Engines were suppose to have come in this past week but I never got any email from him regarding shipping. I think I might give it a couple of more day and try to contact him yet again by phone over the next couple of days. If no go, I guess I'll have my bank get back the money. I realize he is a small business and I tend to give some latitude to such enterprises as I think choice helps us all but I think that with such a business, communication with the customer become that much more important. So BCMA has been rather disappointing.
I see that Brillelli has just released a 25GT V2! Looks pretty nice, Scott should post more pictures of the engine on his site. If the situation with BCMA doesn't resolve itself favorably, I'll probably be ordering that engine.

Here is a cut and paste from Adams last posting on another thread. I hope this info is helpful.
Andy
From Adam:
To all my new and existing customers:
To improve customer support BCMA Engines has a new dedicated phone for you to contact me directly. My new number is 303-834-8373 and will be activated this afternoon. I will be adhering to business hours between 4:00 pm and 8:00pm Monday through Friday (Mountain Standard Time) Any calls outside that time will go directly to voice mail. This number is now posted on my webstite.
FYI: The number of my mobile phone that many of you currently have will be changing to a Colorado number next week so to contact me you will need to use the new number that is posted here and on my website.
Thank you

Yep, and that's the number I called to order and then called again only to get voice mail. I also called between the times he posted. The same info is on his webpage and yet, he still is unavailable. To quote from his web page:
"I am committed to providing you a quality low weight engine that provides optimum performance and reliability along with first class old fashioned customer service all at the best price possible."
Sorry to say, I don't remember first class old fashioned customer service meaning you disappear so no one can contact you. Especially with a small one man outfit. Oh well, will see what happens over the next couple of days.

I guess no one read his post of a while back when he stated that he was working horrendous amounts of over time at his real job and that the hours needed to complete his current project in the real world would probably place increased demands on his time as summer neared. I know I did.
Eating, paying the mortgage, that sort of stuff has to come first. I don't know Adam personally, but from our dealings I'll bet that everyone that has placed an order with him will get his item, or his money back. Just a hunch.

We all have basic committments in life but that doesn't absolve one from whatever committments one has made to others. A simple statement on his website about his situation or even a post here, about what is happening as to why he is not communicating would have gone a long way to ease people's minds, especially when it concerns other people's money. If he can't make even the simplest of efforts regarding his own business efforts then perhaps he should suspend his operations till such time as he can. He was a nice guy to talk with on the phone but he has my money, I have nothing and I can't even get the courtesy of a return phone call, email or any other information about what is happening. As I said, I'll see what happens over the next couple of days.

Well where do you think I read the information that I passed on to you in my post? I don't know Adam personally, so it had to be here or on his website.

Yea, post 1026 back on 4/4/07 in the BCMA engine thread, followed by post 1175 on 5/22 where he then states he can now be reached between hours.....etc. (posted above by Flyer Freq). I've read all that. He still hasn't reponded to my email or returned my voice mail messages although he charged my credit card and not shipped anything. So probably he hasn't gotten his order of engines yet but he can at least tell people that. As I said, he was a nice guy to talk to on the phone but all I'm asking for is some information and he is just MIA with no explaination as to why. Maybe he will come up for air again in the next couple of days.

I agree with GBR2...There should be a post on his website and if he has an answering machine there should also be a recording on that...Not very good buisiness manners IMO....

Just got an e-mail from Adam that my engine was shipped 06-01-07. USPS tracking # was included.
Although I do agree that communication could be improved, I still feel better getting this engine from someone in the US than directly from overseas.
Try leaving Adam a courteous message and I'm sure he'll take care of you.

I think it's the other way around...If a vendor has your money and not delivered the product, he should be leaving you a courteous message.
Oh and yes I have dealt with BCMA engines before

Things aren't always as they appear. I decided to test out the "missing in action" theory by sending Adam an e-mail, and no, other than buying an engine from him, I don't know him either. In just a few hours, I had a response from Adam. Not meaning to sound suspicious, but why wasn't this "missing in action" post made in the BCMA Engine thread? If you want fast response, shouldn't a post be made in a thread you know Adam is monitoring?
Adam has always taken care of his customers. I have never known him to be any other way!

I got a PM from Adam about an hour ago. After refreshing him about who I was, he told me that my engine and the addition items I had requested, were shipped out June 1. Now I know the status of my order. As to not posting in the other thread, I hadn't realized it was the "official" BCMA thread and everything was suppose to go in there otherwise I would have. Hopefully the engine will show up in the next couple of days. So now that I know my request to add on to my order was actually received and acted upon, plus everything having shipped, I'm satisfied.

Sorry if I sounded a little suspicious, but another negative thread for a company started in a similiar way, not to long ago. It took several weeks to figure out that it was a competitor trying to ruin the companies reputation. Eventually the thread was deleated, but I am sure it had done its damage. There are several other cases that I have seen that are similiar.
I have been running one of Adam's engines for over a year now, and am very happy with it. I am sure youwill be too!

Ditto!
I have been in and out of retail, mostly on the side, for many, many years.
Some folks think they own your soul just because they hand you money.
Everyone always knows how to run your business better than you do.
Dealing with the retail public is like being in Hell, as far as I'm concerned.
